A year and half ago, we were contacted by Allison who just lost her Police Office husband and asked if there was something that we could do for a backyard splashpad for her girls. I told her I would see what we could do and she said when she found their forever home she would contact us again. At the end of 2015, she let us know that she had found her home and moved in. We already had 2 installs in Louisiana so we would be able to get her on our schedule and make the girls something special.
We were so honored to give this memorial to her girls to grow up with. When they are under the Umbrella Water Play Above Ground Feature, all they have to do is look up and see the angel wings that we air-brushed to know that he is watching over them. Also on the stem of the Umbrella is his badge air-brushed with his number. As for the safety surface, we spent hours making the custom Slidell officer badge by hand with John’s number of 231, an exact replica of the Slidell, LA Police Dept. badge.
